A new piece that I’m going to be a part of next weekend.  Please come and support if available.

From the choreographer/director:

My Dear Friends,

I hope that you can join me in the work-in-progress presentation of my latest work, Of Land and Sky.  Developed over the course of my 2011 CHIME grant period, it is an exciting new direction in my work that weaves together theater, video, Cambodian pop culture, and my explorations in minimalizing Cambodian classical dance.  Sometimes funny, sometimes tense, sometimes heartbreaking—Of Land and Sky is a recasting of the Cambodian myth of Neang Kaiv Manorea into the bodies of gay men.
As I developed this piece, I had the privilege of challenging and questioning my process with the help of my CHIME mentor, Oguri.  And on this day, I will be joined by fellow performers Rosemary Candelario, Joyce Lu, and Ernesto Manacop.  Ariel Campos will play sound that day and, in a later manifestation, we will be joined by Odeya Nini and Archie Carey as well.
All details for the show are below.  Enjoy the holiday and I hope to see you!
Always With Love,
Prum
