Over-Scheduled October

I’m taking a study break.

I wish I were Dr. Manhattan from Watchmen just so I can be in two places at once and still be fully present at each.

I’m finally moved in to my new place, but I’m crunched for time.  This Saturday, Erik and I are hosting a Mad Men-themed birthday party for Erik.  So, we need to be all cleaned up and organized for the event.

Apparently, Mad Men-themed parties are on the list of stuff white people like.

Living in Los Feliz, the new Los Angeles neighborhood I live in now, should be on that list too.  My mom astutely pointed out that a lot of “Americans” lived around me.  Once again, I had to correct her that “American” doesn’t just mean white people.

NYC in two weeks.  Can’t wait for that.  But, I had to opt out of a huge dance performance for Dia de los Muertos at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery for it.  I’ll be sure to buy amazing souvenirs for all my fellow dancers :).  Dance performances are also picking up speed at the same rate as my work commitments, so that’s stressing me out.

I have an exam this Saturday that, if I do well on it, can give me promotional opportunities in my company in the near-future.  So, it’s hell week for me.  Study HARD!  Study SMART!

But ahhh!  Need to find an outfit for Saturday!  And ahhh!  Dance rehearsals!

I can handle it.  I always do.
